Expectation of players

All Club members are expected to represent the Club proudly and not bring the Club or the game into disrepute. This includes playing in the correct uniform and playing fair and hard. Also, informing Coaches or Managers of any intended absences from training and games.

Saturday Umpiring Responsibilities
All teams are required to provide 2 umpires each Saturday. Cards are to be collected from the office in the Pavilion. On most weeks, you are required to Umpire after your own game, however, if you are required to umpire PRIOR to your game, your Coach or Organiser will be notified during the week. Failure to show up for umpiring will result in the CNC fining the Club $100. The individual team responsible for this fine will be responsible for payment to the Club, within 14 days of incurring the fine.

Expectation of Supporters
We look forward to, and encourage support for all our teams on a Saturday. However, I would like to remind supporters that it is important that fair play extend to the sidelines also. There is always going to be umpiring issues of one kind or another and any unruly behaviour and / or comments towards Umpires or the Opposition reflect badly on our Club and are unacceptable. Please support our teams in a positive manner.

Fundraising
We will, throughout the season be running fundraising events. All teams will be given plenty of notice of any upcoming events and it is expected that all Members participate in these Fundraisers and give these your full support. Money raised through Fundraising allows us to provide the essential gear and equipment to all Members to ensure the efficient running of our Club.

Clubrooms
Our clubrooms are situated at Ilam Fields, 106 Waimairi Road. Each Saturday we will have a Player of the Day, beginning at 6pm. We share our Clubrooms with University Rugby. All Netball members, families and friends are invited and encouraged to support our Club each week.

Attendence of Players to Training and Games
The Club understands that if you are attending University and you are from outside the Christchurch Area that there will be times that you will be returning home on holiday. However, it becomes difficult for Coaches to manage Senior teams when they are faced with more than 1 or 2 absences at one time. Based on this and our experiences from last season the following expectations are placed on Senior Players picked in 2A teams, especially the A & B teams and U19’s. These expectations also flow down to 2B teams.

ALL  players are expected to commit to the season which runs from May through to early Sept
Senior Reserve A team will compete in 4 week tournament prior to season beginning and MUST be available for this. B & C teams will also play in 2a tournament and MUST be available for this also

Coaches must be informed in plenty of time of any planned absences to arrange fill-ins etc. These absences are to be, at all times possible, kept to an absolute minimum.

If you are living at the University Halls and this is the sole reason why you travel home during Uni holidays, please come and speak to one of your Committee as we will do our very best to offer alternative accommodation over the holiday break should you need this.
